Fitness is essential for health and well being but it doesn’t necessarily mean pounding away on a treadmill. Many people tell me that they don’t enjoy going to the gym but feel they have to if they want to lose weight. The problem here is that if something is a chore you will not keep up to it and all your good intentions will go out of the window. If you enjoy walking join a walking group and not only will make you more physically active and therefore help with your weight loss you will also make new friends. Walking is also an activity that the family can do together and therefore support each other in their weight loss goals.
